Chianti, Tuscany, Vineyards, and the Perfect Travel Partner

Arroyo Italy Anniversary Trip

On our third day in the Tuscany region, we traded city streets for rolling hills and vineyards.

The Tuscan countryside looks almost exactly as you imagine it: winding roads, cypress trees, stone farmhouses, and vineyards stretching across the landscape. Every turn seemed to reveal another postcard-worthy view.

A day in the Chianti Region provided a wonderful contrast to Florence. The pace was slower, the scenery more rural, and the focus shifted to the beauty of the countryside.

As our time in Florence comes to a close, we understand why so many people love this city. Florence offers a perfect blend of art, history, beauty, and unforgettable experiences.

PLANES, TRAINS, AND AUTOMOBILES – AND AN AMAZING HUSBAND

My husband is wonderful in countless ways.

As we celebrate our anniversary making our way across Italy, I’ve gained an even greater appreciation for him. While I’ve been marveling at centuries-old cathedrals, charming piazzas, and breathtaking views, he’s been quietly managing the logistics that make it all possible.

From navigating train schedules and ferry timetables to finding taxis, hauling heavy luggage over cobblestone streets, and figuring out how to get us from one destination to the next, he’s handled every challenge with patience and good humor.

Travel has a way of revealing both strengths and weaknesses, and this trip has reminded me what a steady, dependable partner I have by my side. Every train connection made, every suitcase carried, and every wrong turn successfully corrected has become part of our adventure.

And now, onto the Amalfi Coast!
